Janey Godley

Steve meets the stand-up with underworld connections...

Just met stand-up Janey Godley, fresh from her encounter with a punter brandishing a copy of her flier, which tempts the Fringe-goer with promises of tales from her past, when she used to know some of Glasgow's toughest villains.

"Is it true you can get someone killed?" asked the elderly man, in all sincerety. Janey had to let him down gently.

Forget offers of free drinks or badges to lure people into shows. One free 'hit' with every ticket - that's good for the box office.
