If you didn't get along to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe you'll probably be kicking yourself for missing all that great live comedy. But don't panic, we've still plenty of cracking stand-up clips to bring you from our Edinburgh : Live 2010 sessions, filmed at The Pleasance Theatre in Edinburgh. So get yer titters out!
The effervescent Chris Ramsey is a rare thing in comedy, a positive comedian chock full of good will. The Geordie is patently not an angry comic and it's incredibly infectious. GQ said Chris was "frighteningly talented... tearing up every stage he lands on". If you like your comedy upbeat, Chris is your man.
Nominated for the Best Newcomer award at the 2008 Edinburgh Festival, magnificently moustachioed Mike Wozniak (look, alliteration!) the Portsmouth-raised Polish descendent is a master of the self-depreciating style of comedy. He's also a qualified doctor, so he's clever too.
The Boy With Tape On His Face offers a new take on a very old comic tradition. A kind of stand-up version of a classic silent comedy (think Buster Keaton) it's very funny, touching and strangely poignant. His act "consists of a combination of unlikely elements that all come together for a truly magical experience", says Chortle. And if you think it's easy, you try making a room full of people laugh for an hour with your mouth taped.
Hip Hop, Comedy, Improv - where did it all go right for Abandoman? Their brilliant musical sketches have seen front man Rob Broderick and multi-instrumentalist James Hancox appear on the BBC 6 Music breakfast show and win the Hackney Empire Best New Act of the Year in 2010. Even fellow comedians love them! Marcus Brigstocke said, "These guys are hilarious... absolutely tore the roof off the place". No two shows are the same and this one is no... we mean, much, different.
Nina Conti has a first class degree in Philosophy. She also has a monkey puppet as an alter-ego. This is not as odd as it sounds. After all, Nina won the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2002 and hasn't looked back, using her ventriloquial skills and exquisite comic timing all over the world - including this summer's Edinburgh Festival.
Live comedy brought to you directly from the Edinburgh Comedy Festival. The Boy With Tape on his Face embroils three audience members in his enchanting silent stage show.
