The weather may have taken a turn for the autumnal but summer's not quite over yet, not when the Edinburgh Festival Fringe is here again! Of course, BBC Comedy got in on the act with our own series of shows, so here for your viewing pleasure is a selection of some of the cream currently rising to the top of the comedy milk bottle. Ladies and gentlemen, we bring you Edinburgh 2010: Live, filmed at The Pleasance Theatre in Edinburgh.
Bo Burnham, the searingly funny musical comic whose razor sharp, politically incorrect lyrics (check out his rap pastiche in this clip) have taken him from worldwide YouTube phenomenon to the verge of being a household name and a huge comedy star - and he's not yet even old enough to drink in his home country!
Arj Barker will be very familiar to fans of Flight of the Conchords, but he’s no slouch as a stand-up either, winning the Perrier Best Newcomer award in 1997 at the Edinburgh Festival. So where better to watch the man in comedy action than back at the festival where he first made his name?
Super energetic New Zealander Jarred Christmas, whose skill with improvisation is only matched by his magnificent sideburns. Jarred clearly marches to the beat of a different drummer, but his surreal world is somehow familiar and comforting.
Watching a quirky double act work their way through a series of sketches in a laid-back manner with hardly anything in the way of props doesn't sound like it should work. But it does. And it's hilarious, If Two Episodes of Mash make it look easy it's because they're funnier than us.
Victor Legit is a man on a mission to save the world from DVD piracy. Not even an addiction to Yakult will stop him in his crusade. Adam Riches most popular character is a comical tour de force as arrogant as he is deluded. You won't find dodgy DVD copies of his 'power lectures' anywhere, though.
