Still not sure about this series...this particular episode seemed rather weak, and the acting a bit half-hearted. However, I am making an effort to watch it, although taking spouses out for a meal seems an unusual part of the selection process for a deputy head. My wife did have to come along with me to a few interviews in the late 1970's and clearly caught the eye of some of the more elderly doctors trying to choose a new partner.
