Dear John is a sitcom written by John Sullivan, broadcast between 1986 and 1987. John Lacey discovers his wife has left him for a friend, and in desperation he attends the 1-2-1 Singles Club only to discover the other members are social misfits. Here he confronts Louise, the group leader, to ask if she'd like to go to a party with him.
