Mr Bean is a character developed by Rowan Atkinson at university who starred in his own comedy series on ITV between 1990 and 1995. Here we see his first TV appearance in the BBC satirical sketch show Not the Nine O'clock News. Even then, a simple thing like walking down the street proved to too much for this hapless character.
