Generation Gardens - A Widow's Garden
Designed by Ian Shooter and Stewart Knight
The planting in this garden showcases new varieties of favourite plants and simple practical ideas that can make gardening easier for older people.
"This garden represents the much-loved plot of an elderly lady, now a widow in her 80s. She has always been a keen gardener and although some of her plants are past their best and keeping the weeds at bay is more difficult, the former glory is still evident."

My husband and I loved this garden. We thought it was definitely the best small garden and deserved more than a bronze medal. It is most people's garden - well loved and cared for, but not quite perfect. We could relate to this garden far more than the big show gardens.
Very pretty and so natural looking. I love the foxgloves as they remind me of my childhood. Well done guys!
This garden is full of colour with cottage garden favourites every where.
One of the best small gardens.
This garden looks very graceful and sedate. It makes you want to just sit and admire it all. Beautiful!
A garden for those of us who are not so good at getting down to earth! I love gardening but find it more difficult now and have only got a small patio, I love the soft colouring and raised plant areas
wonderful british garden at it's best.
Stunning job!

Beautiful garden. Deserves a much higher rating. Can you transplant it to my garden?
