Robert Myers designs in an elegant, timeless manner, inspired by the characteristics of materials and plants, of history and place. His work draws inspiration from both the architectural and natural world.
"My key motivation in the design of Cancer Research UK's garden is the theme of 'impact', reflecting the huge progress the charity has made and continues to make in the fight to beat cancer.
I wanted it to be a playful garden, where free-form walls, water, stone and plants combine to create an elegant, sculptural composition. It's a garden of illusion, where a stone sculpture seems to set waves rippling across the surface of an oval pool, which continue through the paved surfaces of the garden.
I hope this garden lifts the spirits and encourages visitors to consider how people are having a real impact on cancer."
This is the first garden I have seen for years that makes me want to rip mine out and start again. Wonderful!

I love this garden. The subtle understatement of the design and planting is just so cool and calming. Really wanted it to get a gold!
Absolutely loved the quiet and spaciousness of this Cancer Research garden. The white sculpture and beautifully placed stones, the ripples of water - calming the senses and drawing the eye to the gentleness of the planting. Thank you to ALL concerned.
I think that this garden/design has beautiful flowing lines and the materials used make it feel light and fresh, uplifting, making me feel optimistic. It is a calming garden and I love the soft shapes and cushion of green planting.
A beautiful garden, but the tiniest splash of colour would have enhanced the borders
Love it - it reminds me of the Cancer Research UK arrow logo.
I can't believe this garden didn't get gold or even best in show - it is outstanding
I absolutely adore this garden. It achieves everything you had intended Congratulations Robert Myers.
