Computer Says Yes
Computer Says Yes
20 November 2006

Who's in line for a few column inches tomorrow?

The computer finally said yes to David Walliams who has been named Showbusiness Personality of the Year at the Variety Club awards today so we could be in for some pics of David collecting his gong and generally looking pleased with himself. Ricky Gervais, Richard Fleeshman, Sharon Osbourne and Ross Kemp received other awards. Jolly well done, everyone.

And 'tis the season to release your single/get your greatest hits albums into the shops* (*delete as applicable) well in time for Christmas. Noel and Liam Gallagher are first off the blocks with a retrospective album, closely followed by Bono and the boys from U2. Emma Bunton releases 'Downtown' today in aid of Children in Need and Take That release their single which is called 'Patience'. All concerned are 'available for publicity'. Hooray.

Publicity-shy Russell Brand is doing a secret gig tonight – at this stage we aren't sure whether it's the type of secret gig that results in his picture being splashed all over tomorrow's tabloids, or whether it's the other kind of secret gig – the, er, secret type. Stone the crows.

And finally, some young heroes pick up awards tonight; Closer magazine is holding a ceremony to honour brave young kids. Coleen McLoughlin, Emma Bunton, Sara Cox and Michelle Dewberry will be there, no doubt all dabbing at their eyes with hankies. We're welling up already...
