Pirate Beard

5 minutes This should take about 5 mins

You will need:

  • Brown or black card
  • Scissors (grown-up use only)
  • Glue stick
  • String
  • Sticky tape
  • Pencil
  • Thick pen

Remember to ask a Grown-up for help.

What to do:

Step 1

Draw an oval shape for your beard and then, with a grown-up's help, cut it out. Next draw a smaller oval shape for a mouth inside the beard you have just cut out. Ask a grown-up to cut the smaller oval shape out for you.

Step 2

Stick some string to the back of the beard using sticky tape.

Step 3

To make the hairs for the beard take another piece of card and roll it around the thick pen, then remove the pen and the card will be curled.

Step 4

With a grown-up's help cut the curled card in half and then cut lots of small strips.

Step 5

Cover the font of the bread with lots of glue. Then stick the curly stripes of card onto the beard for the hairs.
