Porthole Pictures

30 minutes This should take about 30 mins

You will need:

  • Two coloured paper plates
  • Some paint
  • Some salt
  • A ball of modelling clay
  • A pencil
  • Some paper
  • Glue
  • Wax crayons

Remember to ask a Grown-up for help.

Part 1

Gather together all the things that you need to make your own Porthole Picture. Take the two coloured paper plates and make a hole in one of them. This is a bit tricky so you might want to ask an adult to help you. To make the hole get the ball of modelling clay and put it underneath the plate. Using the pencil very carefully push it through the plate into the clay. Take the pencil out and remove the clay. This hole will help you cut out the porthole. Cut a circle out of the centre of the plate but be careful because scissors are sharp.
