Make a Little Red Tractor model

Remember to ask a grown-up for help.

You will need:

This should take about 30 minutes
  • A cardboard box
  • Cardboard
  • Black felt-tip pen
  • Yellow paint
  • Silver foil
  • Sticky tape

Step 1

Red cardboard box

Unfold the cardboard box and paint it red.

Step 2

Yellow cardboard wheel

Cut out four wheels. Make two wheels big and two wheels small. Colour the outside of the wheel with a black felt-tip pen so it looks like a tyre.

Step 3

Two foil circles

Cut two small circles out of card. Cover these with silver foil. These will be the Little Red Tractor's headlights.

Step 4

Pipe cleaner covered in foil

Cover a pipe cleaner with foil and twist it into shape. This will be the crank for the tractor.

Step 5

Red cardboard handles

Make two handles from cardboard. Stick these inside your cardboard box at the top. When your tractor is made you can use these to carry it around.

Step 6

Little Red Tractor made from a cardboard box

Stick the wheels, crank and headlights to your tractor. Wait until these are dry. Now open up the box and start having fun!
