St David's Day - Paper Daffodil
Make your own paper daffodil for St David's Day.
You will need:
- Long piece of yellow paper (4cm wide)
- Long piece of yellow paper (8cm wide)
- A4 green tissue paper
Remember to ask a Grown-up for help.
What to do:
Roll up the 4cm wide yellow tissue paper and twist at one end of the roll to hold in shape.
With help from a grown-up, cut little slits to about halfway down the tissue paper roll. This will create a frilly tube for the trumpet of the daffodil.
Fold a long piece of yellow tissue paper in half six times. Using a pencil draw a daffodil petal onto the tissue. Cut out the petal using scissors.
Place some glue at the bottom of the petals and glue to the bottom of the daffodil tube.
Continue adding all daffodil petals and carefully bend them out slightly.
Roll up a piece of A4 green tissue paper. Then twist the roll until there is a 1cm gap at the top to create a stem.
Glue the end of the daffodil head and place into the gap of the stem. Twist to join.
