Carnival - Carnival Hat
Make a hat for Carnival.
This should take about 30 mins
You will need:
- 7 thin pipe cleaners
- 5 thick pipe cleaners
- Long strip of card for headband – approximately 10cm wide
- Glue
- Beads or sequins
Remember to ask a Grown-up for help.
What to do:
Step 1
Fold the thick pipe cleaners in half and twist together.
Step 2
Thread the beads or sequins on top of the thinner pipe cleaners.
Step 3
Glue thin pipe cleaners to the strip of card and leave to dry.
Step 4
Once dry, glue down the thicker pipe cleaners over the thin pipe cleaners and leave to dry.
Step 5
Finally, wrap the headband around the crown of the child's head to measure the size. Holding the hat's shape, remove it from the child's head and safely staple the ends of the card together, forming the finished hat.
