Igglepiggle

Make an In the Night Garden mobile for your room.

30 minutes This should take about 30 mins

You will need:

  • Print-outs (4 pages)
  • Cardboard
  • Colouring pencils
  • Lollypop sticks
  • Scissors
  • String or wool
  • Sticky tape or glue

Remember to ask a Grown-up for help.

What to do:

Step 1

A picture of Igglepiggle

Print the characters for your mobile and stick them onto cardboard with glue. Make your pictures really colourful with crayons or coloured pens.

Step 2

A picture of Upsy Daisy

Measure and cut four pieces of string, 2x 15cm and 2x 30cm. Carefully cut out your characters and stick the string to the back using sticky tape.

Step 3

Igglepiggle and Upsy Daisy attached to lollypop sticks by string

Stick your lollypop sticks together with glue to make a square shaped frame. Tie the characters to the frame using the string attached. About half way along each side is good! Cut four more pieces of string, this time they should be equal in length, approx. 40cm.

Step 4

A square frame made of lollypop sticks

Stick the lollypop sticks together with glue to make a square frame. Tie a piece of string to each corner of the frame. Pull the loose string upwards and towards the centre of the square and tie a knot to keep the mobile hanging at an even level.

Step 5

The finished In the Night Garden mobile with characters

Use the surplus string to hang the mobile from the ceiling.
