Step Inside

Let Mr Mopple and Twinkle the cat take you on some magical storytelling adventures as Boris the bookshelf and Chloe the clock come to life.

Step Inside

The main character in Step Inside is a groundsman called Mr Mopple, played by CBeebies Presenter Chris Jarvis. Whilst doing his job, Mr Mopple hears a noise from the house which tells him there must be a story to be told.

Inside the house are the other characters - a cat called Twinkle, a cat, a bookshelf called Boris and a clock called Chloe. These characters often argue between themselves before Mr Mopple sits down to tell a story. When Mr Mopple has finished the story, he goes back to work.

Read about the characters

Mr Mopple

Mr Mopple is a groundsman. Whilst doing his jobs, Mr Mopple invariably hears a noise from the house which tells him there must be a story to be told. The house magically appears to come to life as he steps inside. Mr Mopple selects the book for the story from Boris the Bookshelf and then reads it, providing an array of voices for each character in the book. When Mr Mopple has finished the story, he goes back to work.

Boris

Boris the bookshelf provides the books from which Mr Mopple reads his stories.

Other characters

Twinkle the Cat and Chloe the Clock live inside the house and love to listen to Mr Mopple's stories.
