Octonauts

The Octonauts follows a team of animated adventure heroes who dive into action whenever there is trouble under the sea. In a fleet of aquatic vehicles, they rescue amazing sea creatures, explore incredible new underwater worlds, and often save the day before returning safely to their home base, the Octopod.

Buoyed by the companionship of three leading characters - Captain Barnacles Bear, Lieutenant Kwazii Cat, and Medic Peso Penguin - the Octonauts are always ready to embark on an exciting new mission!

Based on the richly imaginative books by award-winning design team, Meomi, the TV series combines elements of classic team adventure with stunning CGI animation to transport little ones into a magical world under the sea.

The show will arouse their curiosity and feed their imagination, answering questions in a journey of discovery through the world's oceans.

Captain Barnacles Bear

Captain Barnacles Bear is the heroic leader and strategic thinker of the Octonauts. With the Octo-compass (a multipurpose smartphone) strapped to his belt, he's the first to rush into unchartered waters at the first sign of trouble.

Lieutenant Kwazii

Lieutenant Kwazii is a daredevil orange cat with a mysterious pirate past. Sporting his eye patch and wielding his spyglass, he's an explorer at heart. As a pirate, he was motivated more by his love of adventure than his love of treasure

Peso

Peso is the medic of the Octonauts. He's the youngest member of the crew and the most likely to take Kwazii's tall tales seriously. He's not too fond of scary situations, but if someone is hurt or in trouble he can be the bravest Octonaut of all.

Other characters

Dashi - a sausage dog who looks after the Octonauts' computer systems.

Shellington - a sea otter scientist who likes to work in his lab doing field research

Tweak - the mechanical engineer who maintains the Octopod and all Octonaut vehicles.

Professor Inkling - an octopus oceanographer who founded the Octonauts and works from the Octopod library

Tunip - one of many 'vegimals' (part vegetable/ part animal) who help out around the Octopod. They all speak their own language that only Shellington can understand.
