Little Robots

Everything can be something in the Little Robots' world. Watch as Tiny and his friends make some great discoveries.

Little Robots

Tiny and his Little Robot friends are pioneers, builders and architects of a brand new world. Together they have discovered something they didn't know they were looking for. Finding themselves abandoned on a metal scrap heap, they have become tiny alchemists, turning the junk they find around them into a worthwhile place they can call home. They have created a magical world - a metal dome with a sun, moon, trees and homes - using their skills, vision and imagination. It's a place full of fun, friendships and daily discovery.

Children will quickly get to know Tiny and his Little Robot friends as these expressive little robot characters have bags of personality. In the Little Robots' world (which is clock-powered) everything can be something and children are likely to be fascinated as they watch the team work together to turn the junk around them into somewhere to live. Friendship and doing things together are important to the Little Robots and each day they make great discoveries (of course, they often find that things don't quite go as they planned).

The storylines have an ideal way of lending themselves to further discussion concerning recycling of materials. Children often like to make their own creations out of old boxes and other recyclable materials and this can fuel their imagination and creativity.

The educational value of the show

Little Robots helps children to:

Read about the characters

Tiny

Tiny has a strong relationship with all the Little Robots. He has a huge sense of fun, is warm-hearted, affectionate, thoughtful, creative and loves to design and construct things. He's the fixer.

Sporty

Sporty is always on the go, completely obsessed with fitness and physical activity. If he's not playing tennis with himself, he's motivating the other Little Robots into action. He's strong, athletic and good at lifting things.

Scruffy

Scruffy the dog seldom does what he is asked to do. He is messy, disorganised and the cause of endless mechanical catastrophes due to his unfortunate habit of running off with vital parts!

Other characters

Tiny has lots of other little robot friends, such as:

The Sparky Twins - strong, feisty, lively, energetic, fast-moving, fast-talking Little Robots who create as much fun as mischief.
Skinny - only excited by junk and, without his knowledge and expertise in this field, the Little Robots wouldn't be able to build, repair and invent half the things they do.
Noisy - has a carefree attitude and wishes only to bring music (and noise) into everyone's life.
Stripy - has a quiet charm and is a good listener and a deep thinker. He wants to build plants and trees to make their world a more beautiful place.
Scary - a magician, a showman and a clown, all rolled into one. He is flamboyant and feels it is his role to inject excitement into the lives of all the Little Robots.
Spotty - methodical, slightly bossy and a stickler for rules, most of which she has made up herself. Beneath all the bluster and exuberance, she is kind-hearted and enthusiastic and, being so round, she's also useful as a demolition ball!
