Nuzzle and Scratch

Time for some crazy comic adventures with the alpaca duo. Who knows what situations they'll get themselves into next!

Nuzzle and Scratch

Puppet led comedy. Nuzzle and Scratch are two alpacas and the most incompetent employees of Two by Two - a job agency for animals. With each new job, things tend to go wrong pretty quickly.

Armed with costumes for every occasion, Nuzzle and Scratch find that each day brings a new opportunity for adventure - and inevitably some chaos. But whether dressed as cheerleaders, train drivers or a pantomime horse, Nuzzle and Scratch will always save the day in their own unique style.

When they get to the job, things generally start to go wrong pretty quickly and much slapstick and physical comedy ensues - mainly at the expense of their new employer.

Thankfully, there is always a silver lining. Even though they may not do the job particularly well, somehow some good comes out of it. In each episode they become accidental heroes and find themselves still with a position at 'Two by Two' to go back to.

The jobs they find themselves trying to do (albeit unsuccessfully) are school caretakers, librarian assistants, sports teachers, hotel employees, cinema employees, rugby coaches, window cleaners, laundry assistants, park keepers, hairdressers, Scout leaders, magician's assistants, painter and decorators, theme park employees, supermarket check-out assistants, beach attendants, ice-cream sellers, swimming pool attendants, conductors and dinner ladies.

The educational value of the show

  • Begin to appreciate different roles in society through the fancy dress shop.
  • Explore different cultures in ways that they can understand.
  • Encourage imagination, creativity and a sense of adventure through aligning themselves with likeable characters.
