Lake game

Introduction

This matching game will test your child's hand-eye coordination and problem-solving skills. The aim of the game is to drag and drop the tree trunk pieces into the correct place to form a bridge so Jakamoko and Toto can cross the lake. There's an added challenge - your child has to complete the task before the crocodile reaches the other side of the lake.

How to extend the fun

Time to get artistic. You could click through to the Make & Colour section and print out one of the Yoko! Jakamoko! Toto! colouring-in sheets or your child could have a go at drawing a crocodile. Help with the outline if they need a bit of help. You could cut out some small white paper triangles for your child to use as teeth.

How to make a magic moment

Pretend you are both crocodiles looking for food in the lake. Use your arms as jaws, open them wide and SNAAAP!! Then you could say: 'Hmmm, I smell a nice juicy cheeky little monkey!' Point at your child, grab them in your crocodile jaws and then give them a big tickle!
