This fun activity will help to develop your child's hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as they as they put pen (or crayon) to paper and get creative. The more your child practises colouring in, the better they will become at gripping a pen and making precise (and less scribbly) movements on the paper.
How to extend the magic
Why not get your child to practise their scissor skills (also good for perfecting their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills) by getting them to carefully snip around the picture on the colouring-in sheet? You could mount some of their best efforts on some coloured card and display them in your kitchen or on your child's bedroom wall.
