Introduction
This activity is great for extending your child's knowledge and understanding of the world around them, as they learn about different types of food and where they come from. It's also a good way of developing their fine motor skills as they prepare ingredients and handle utensils. And it teaches them an important life skill - how to prepare tasty, nutritious meals (and the occasional yummy treat!).
How to extend the fun
Talk about cheese and explain that it is made from milk and there are lots of different types - eg Cheddar, Brie, Stilton, Parmesan and mozzarella. Explain that they are not all yellow (some are blue!) and some taste stronger than others. Offer a different variety of cheese on a cracker and see what they think.
