Introduction
This animated tale will help to develop your child’s language and literacy skills as they carefully watch and listen to the story and follow the instructions when prompted. Watching it together is a great way of encouraging your child to enjoy books and the whole process of storytelling. The activity is also a fun way for your child to find out more about the world around them - and it is great for stimulating their imagination as they discover what Blue Cow got up to at the Olympic Games.
How to extend the magic
Ask your child what they liked most about the story? Perhaps it was Blue Cow diving into the pool or wobbling on the gymnastics beam? Why not have a go at creating a mini Olympic Games in your home? (It can be very basic!) You could bounce or throw a soft ball or balloon (and pretend you're a basketball player) or put a piece of ribbon or string on the ground and see if your child can put one foot in front of the other (a bit like Blue Cow did on the beam).
