Introduction
Your child can practise their writing skills by filling in these name cards. They'll be improving their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as they grip and then manipulate the pen to form letters. They can also colour them in and practise their scissor skills afterwards as they cut along the dotted lines.
How to extend the magic
Why not choose a savoury, sweet or fruit recipe from Big Cook's Recipe Book (it's in the Make & Colour section) and get creative in the kitchen! There are lots of delicious ideas to choose from. Preparing ingredients and learning to handle utensils (such as mixing with a wooden spoon) is another great way of helping to develop your child's hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Weighing out ingredients will also help them with their thinking and numeracy skills.
