St George's Day Shield

Introduction

This make will help to develop your child's hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as they design, paint and decorate the shield. You'll have to help out with the cutting out at the beginning as they will find it difficult to cut through cardboard. And when the shield is dry your little one can burn up some energy charging around pretending to be St George battling the dragon!

How to extend the magic

Click through to the Watch & Listen Time area of the CBeebies website and select 'Seasonal'. Click on 'Celebrating St George's Day' and join two boys at a special event where they see St George defeat the dragon.
