Rastamouse Dance Party

Introduction

The best way to play this Dance Party game is to use a webcam, but if you don’t have a webcam, don’t worry – your child can still have a great time watching and copying all the moves. Just click on one of the three dance venues and away you go! As well as helping your child with their computer skills (as they control the mouse or interact with the webcam), this activity is also great for their creative and physical development as they jig and groove along to the music.

Extra information

Head over to Jackanory Junior web pages and click on ‘Story Time’. Cuddle up together and enjoy one of the Rastamouse stories narrated by Lenny Henry. There are two to choose from - ‘Rastamouse Bling’ and ‘Rastamouse and the Crucial Plan’. They’re great fun to watch and listen to – Lenny really gets into the spirit of things! You could have a Rastamouse Dance-Off!

How to extend the magic

Why not have a Rastamouse Dance-Off! Your child could play the Dance Party game with a friend or you could join in (go on, don’t be shy!). Or why not make up your own Rastamouse rap together? Think of some moves to go with the words and put on a little performance in your front room!
