Introduction
This musical activity allows your child to sing old favourite 'Old MacDonald Had a Farm' with presenter Alex. The aim of the game is to sing the missing words when prompted. (If your computer doesn't have a microphone, just use the space bar to play along.)
How to extend the fun
How about asking your child to draw a picture of Old MacDonald and his farm. Which farm animal is their favourite and why? You could play 'guess the animal' too - just give them three clues about each animal (eg has four legs, likes mud, is often pink) and see if they can figure out which animal you're thinking of.
How to make a magic moment
Make up your own version of Old Macdonald - you could move away from the traditional farm animals and have all sorts of other animals in your version. How about parrots going 'squawk squawk', snails going 'slither, slither', a crocodile going 'snap, snap' and squirrels going 'nibble, nibble'?
