Patchwork Patterns

Develops your child's hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills

Introduction

This artistic make will help to develop your child's hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as they carefully position and stick down the patterned paper squares to create a pretty patchwork picture. Your child can really let their imagination run wild as they experiment with different types of patterned paper to create their own unique work of art.

How to extend the magic

Your child could create a patchwork picture and then turn it into a patchwork fish, star or butterfly. To do this, they just have to draw the outline of the fish/star/butterfly on top of the patchwork picture and cut it out. Then, finish off the new picture by mounting the patchwork fish/star/butterfly shape onto a piece of white paper. Picture perfect!
