Introduction
This make is perfect for all budding Mr Blooms! It's great for extending their knowledge and understanding of the world around them as they learn about growing and caring for plants and all the different things that can be found in a garden (eg soil, grass, trees, pond, minibeasts). They can be as imaginative as they like when they're creating their mini-garden and the activity will also allow them to develop their fine motor skills as they handle the equipment, plant seeds and dig the soil.
How to extend the magic
Ask your child if they know the names of any fruit, vegetables or herbs that people might grow in their gardens or on allotments. Perhaps you have some growing in your garden or kitchen right now. Show or remind them! You could refer to Mr Bloom's Nursery and the talking veggie puppets on the show. Afterwards, you could click through to the Mr Bloom game 'Veggie Playtime' and have some fun together trying out the five mini games.
