Little Red Riding Hood

Introduction

This animated tale will help to develop your child’s language and literacy skills as they carefully watch and listen to the story and click on the ‘next’ button to turn the pages when prompted. Watching and listening to it together is a great way of encouraging your child to enjoy books and the whole process of storytelling, and is great for stimulating their imagination.

How to extend the magic

Why not create a special storytelling den in the corner of the room and come up with your own 'happy ever after' fairy tale. Your story could be set in a forest or a castle and could feature fairies, magic spells, a king and a queen, a prince and princess, a baddie (such a wicked witch or a big bad wolf, like the one in 'Little Red Riding Hood'). Just begin your story with 'Once upon a time...' and have fun making up the rest!
