About this activity
Christmas is just around the corner, so here is a fun crafting activity that you can easily do with little ones at home. These reindeer hand puppets are very simple to put together, and only include materials that are easy to get your hands on.
You will need:
What to do:
Place your hand on the red card and draw around it using the pencil. Then do the same with your other hand.
Cut out the two hands and use the leftover paper to cut a small red circle. The hands will be the reindeer’s antlers and the circle will be its nose.
Glue the antlers to the top corners at the back of the paper bag (not the side with the flap). Then turn the paper bag to the other side and glue the nose and the googly eyes to the flap.
This completes your red-nosed reindeer puppet! If you slide it over your hand, you can move its mouth with your fingers.
You can decorate your reindeer puppet using things like felt pens to draw a mouth, glitter glue or bells to add a collar, or fabric as fur.
We'd love to see your red-nosed reindeer puppets so please share your pictures with us on the CBeebies Grown-ups Facebook Page (Facebook.com/CBeebies) or via @CBeebiesHQ on Twitter.
