Introduction
This picture book story will help to develop your child’s language and literacy skills, especially their listening skills. Watching it together is a great way of encouraging your child to enjoy books and the whole process of storytelling. The activity is also a fun way for your child to learn more about the world around them - and in particular, that different people are good at different things.
How to extend the magic
Ask your child what they liked most about the story? Which animal was their favourite? Your child could do an impression of that animal - eg if it was Snip the little crocodile, they could pretend to 'SNIP SNAP!' their arms together like a crocodile's jaws, and if it was Max the little monkey, they could jump around and make 'OOOO OOOH!' monkey noises.
