Introduction
This animated tale will help to develop your child’s language and literacy skills as they carefully watch and listen to the story and click on the ‘next’ button to turn the pages when prompted. The activity is also a fun, interactive way for your child to find out more about the world around them and to encourage them to have a go at something new, even if it seems difficult at first.
How to extend the magic
Have a go at whistling yourselves. Show your child how it’s done, just as Marinda’s dad does in the story. If your child can’t make a whistling sound, you could make them smile by whistling one of their favourite songs or nursery rhymes to them. And don’t forget to try the whistling experiment with the bottles that Marinda tries at the end of the story.
