Introduction
This creative activity will challenge your child's problem-solving skills and help improve their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills too, as they carefully cut out rocket parts from old cardboard tubes and boxes, cover them in foil, paint them and stick them together. It's a tricky task so you'll have to read the instructions and help them when needed. Give your child plenty of encouragement and praise along the way to spur them on!
How to extend the magic
Pretend to be astronauts walking, floating and bouncing around in space! Zip up your spacesuits and put on your special helmets, gloves and space boots. Get into your space rocket and have a zoom around the room together!
