Introduction
This fun make is great for developing your child's hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as they cut out and colour in their bug. It's quite a fiddly make for small hands so your child will need some help along the way, especially with the cutting. They can experiment with the look of the bug - it can be decorated in any way they like. It could be a scary bug with a mouth and fangs!
How to extend the magic
Have a little role play game with your child. Pretend that the bug has come to life! Chat to the bug (eg 'Hello Mr Bug, what are you doing in that box? You gave me a fright!), and then see if your child can talk back in the voice of the bug. You should share a few giggles together as you have some conversations with your bug in a box.
