Dinosaur

Introduction

Constructing this make is a great way of helping your child to develop their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as they paint, decorate and stick a range of materials together to create the model robot. They can experiment with different colours, shapes and textures along the way. It's a complicated task so you'll need to be on hand throughout to provide help and encouragement.

How to extend the magic

Why not help your child construct some more creatures (eg a tortoise or a turtle) using the same technique? Or you could use an old margarine tub or empty plastic bottle instead of a bowl. Have fun experimenting with different-shaped containers for the body of your creature and see what you can come up with!
