'Bill and Ben' is set outdoors and provides opportunities for children to find out about the weather and seasons, as well as growing things. During the early years children are developing the knowledge, skills and understanding that help them to make sense of the world in which they live. Bill and Ben encourages curiosity and creativity as children are motivated to think about the natural environment in which the programme is set.

'Bill and Ben' is a revival of a very old favourite. Most grandparents, if not parents, will remember this from their own childhood. All the characters are the same, with a few new additions. Humour plays a large part, and situations are character led, with Bill and Ben playing the part of tricksters, who sometimes come off worst!
