CBeebies made several series of Autumnwatch for children under the age of six. The idea behind the CBeebies version of Autumnwatch was to encourage children to get out and about looking at nature, finding out about the world around them. Autumnwatch is no longer being made for CBeebies as we now have our own nature programme, the 'Green Balloon Club'.

Green Balloon Club follows the same principles of discovery and connection with nature but rather than being seasonal, it is broadcast all year round. Green Balloon Cub is a central part of the wider EcoBeebies initiative and has connections with the Breathing Places campaign and the BBC's Natural History Unit.
