- The process of growth within their own bodies fascinates little ones. It is important to talk about the stages of growing up from babyhood when they were completely helpless, to when they could sit up, crawl, begin to walk, to now when they can run and jump and hop.
- Milestones such as keeping clothes and shoes are a way of marking their success and achievements. They are important for building your child's self esteem and confidence in their abilities from an early age.
- Children always want to know why things happen. Knowing that all living things grow, change and grow old is to understand something very important about life and their world.
- Explain that everyone - people, animals, plants - need food, water, rest, warmth and sunlight to make them healthy and strong.
- Understanding change adds to children's awareness of the world in which they live. This in turn given them knowledge and self confidence.
