Butterfly Finger Puppet

A butterfly

Print and colour in a butterfly finger puppet.

Remember to ask a grown-up for help.

You will need:

This should take about 30 minutes
  • Print-out (1 page)
  • Safety scissors
  • Colouring pens and pencils

Step 1

Butterfly template

First, print out the butterfly template and colour it in. Next, fold the butterfly in half along the solid line and cut out around the dotted outline.

Step 2

Butterfly template cut out

Make two cuts along the dotted lines in the middle – this makes the strap for your finger.

Step 3

Full butterfly template cut out

Open out the butterfly and slip your finger through the strap, so that it becomes the spine of the butterfly.

Step 4

Finished decorated butterfly

Wiggle your finger up and down to make the wings flap; watch your butterfly fly!
