Tinkling Tree

Tinkling Tree

Make and decorate your own Fimble Valley Tinkling Tree with glitter and twigs.

Remember to ask a grown-up for help.

You will need:

This should take about 30 minutes
  • Print-outs (2 pages)
  • A ball of plasticine
  • Paper/plastic cup
  • Twigs
  • Coloured ribbon/wool/paper
  • Safety scissors
  • Glitter
  • Aluminium foil
  • Glue
  • Old magazines/catalogues

Step 1

Scissors, cup, twigs

Ask an adult to help you stick some coloured paper/wool and ribbon around the twigs with glue.

Tie some wool and ribbon to the twigs so they can dangle down.

Step 2

Finished tree

Place some foil around your thumb, gently squeeze it to shape - take it off and you have made a bell! Repeat to make as many bells as you need.

Attach the bells to the end of the decorated twigs using glue.

Put a ball of plasticine into the cup and stand the decorated twigs into the plasticine.

Arrange the twigs into a tree shape, you could also add some glitter. You have made a Tinkling Tree.
