Shimmy Shaker

A bottle

Make musical Shimmy Shaker with a plastic bottle, glitter and rice.

Remember to ask a grown-up for help.

You will need:

This should take about 30 minutes
  • Print-out (1 page)
  • Empty plastic bottle with lid
  • Lentils
  • Rice or similar dried food
  • Print out of leaf shapes
  • Glue
  • Sticky tape

Step 1

Put a handful of rice or lentils into an empty plastic bottle.

Replace the lid and secure with sticky tape.

Step 2

Bottle

Print out leaves and colour them in.

Ask an adult to help you carefully cut out shapes using safety scissors and stick onto the bottle. You may also like to add material and glitter to your Shimmy Shaker.
