Charlie's Rocket

Charlie's Rocket

Let's make a rocket that looks like Charlie's. You'll have lots of fun making it.

Remember to ask a grown-up for help.

You will need:

This should take about 30 minutes
  • Cardboard boxes
  • Yoghurt pots
  • Tin foil
  • Paints
  • Coloured paper
  • Glitter
  • Paint brushes
  • Glue
  • Safety Scissors
  • Imagination!

Step 1

Pointy rocket top

You can make a pointy rocket top by covering a tube with tin foil. Ask a grown-up to help you cut a door in your rocket. Make it look special with paper, paints and glitter.

Step 2

Rocket body

To make the rocket body you'll need lots of extremely useful boxes. Cover them with paper and foil to make them look like they come from space.

Step 3

Rocket part

Cups make the best rocket parts! You can cover them with foil and strips of coloured paper. You will need lots of glue for this and be careful, because it can be very messy.

Step 4

Rocket blasters

Next, you'll need some rocket blasters! You can make really absolutely brilliant blasters with some yoghurt pots and some card.

Step 5

Joining rocket

Your rocket is really nearly ready! Next you have to put all your boxes together to make your rocket look extremely very big.

Step 6

Finished rocket

Now your rocket is finished! What planets will you visit when your rocket blasts off into space?
