The big daddy of the big cats

• The tiger is the largest of the cat family. The Siberian tiger is the largest of all tigers.
• No two tigers have the same stripe pattern. Each is unique, like human fingerprints.
• Stripe patterns are different on each side of the body.
• Unlike most cats, the tiger is fond of water and is a good swimmer, sometimes plunging into lakes after prey.
• A tiger's roar can be heard 2km away.
