To make this picture first cut a stencil out of a racing car or another vehicle. You can make an easy stencil by drawing around the key elements of a picture and cutting these out. The simpler the shape the more effective the results.
Place this on a thicker sheet of card or paper – it doesn't have to be the same colour but if you want to surprise your friends then have both the stencil and the background paper should be exactly the same.
It helps if you spray mount the stencil down to the background paper to stop the wheels of your toys lifting it up.
Drive your toy cars, wind up toys, remote control cars through the paint. Waterbased, ready mixed paint works well as it doesn't clog up the wheels.
Drive back and forth over the paper until you have covered the stencil.
Have fun making different patterns with your cars.
Carefully lift the stencil off the background paper to reveal your toytrack painting.
