SMart Makes: Blow Art
You Will Need:
- Acrylic paint
- Watercolour paper
- Brushes
- Cotton wool
- Straws
- Felt tips
- First, take a piece of watercolour paper.
- Wash some watered-down blue paint over the page and leave to dry.
- Use your paintbrush to dip in to some more watered-down paint, but this time in a different colour. Place a big dribble on a part of the paper.
-
Blow through the straw to move the paint.
- To create a good fish shape, try blowing harder through the straw to create a splattered effect.
-
Do this for as many fish as you would like. Dab it with some cotton wool to help it dry, but be careful not to smudge your blow shape.
-
Next, place some watered-down green and orange dots at the bottom of the paper.
Blow these upwards carefully to create seaweed and coral.
-
When this is dry you are ready to draw or paint some features on to your fish.
- Once you've done this you have your very own blow aquarium!
