Steps
  • Step 1
Potato Printing

    Make a picture with potato.
  • Plan your design.
  • Cut the potato in half to make a flat surface.
  • Paint a colour onto the flat surface of the potato and print squares onto your paper. Wipe the paint off once this has been done. You can use different colours for adjacent squares.
  • Draw a cherry shape on the potato with a felt tip pen.
  • Use a knife to score around the shape. Keep the part you want and slice around the shape to leave it in a raised section.
  • Print these cherries in red.
  • Repeat the process with a stalk shape.
  • Finally make small dots for white highlights.
