Q:
How do I get points?
A: You can pick up Press Pack Points everywhere in the Press Pack Club, but you have to join the club and make sure you sign in when you come back to the site.
If you have a report published on the Newsround website, or if you do a report on TV or on radio then you'll get a massive 100 points!
Don't worry if you're report isn't published you can still get 60 points for just sending one in, as long as your report isn't copied from another website. Reports that are copied from somewhere else, or reports made up of nonsense words will not get any points or a reply.
Complete a game or quiz in the Skills Room and get 50 points. Even if you don't finish it you'll still get 1 point.
And if you play a game in the Games Room you get 1 point. Back to top

A: Your report may not have been published for many reasons:
- We get tonnes of Press Pack reports every day so your editor might not have read it yet. As soon as they have looked at it you’ll get an email.
- A similar report may already have been published. Before you start your report always take a look at the Newsround website to check your report idea is a new one. For some ideas for reports check out the Press Pack Projects page.

Q: Why haven't my points been added to my scorecard?
A: We're sorry that you're having problems with the points system on the Press Pack website. There could be lots of reasons why.
The first thing to do is to check that you are signed in. If you are signed in, you will see your member name at the top of the page when you look at the Press Pack homepage.
If you are not a Press Pack member, click here to see how to become one.
If you are waiting for Press Pack points because you have sent in a report, then please be patient! Points do not appear automatically. It might take a couple of weeks for them to appear on your scorecard.
This is what happens when you send a report:
Your report will be looked at by one of the Press Pack team and they will decide whether to publish it or not, depending on what's in the news and how many reports they can publish in a day.
If your report is going to be published, you will get an email from the Press Pack team and if you have given us your membership number or member name, you will also get 100 points.
If your report is not going to be published, you will also get an email from the Press Pack team, and you might get 60 points, so well done!
Your points should appear on your scorecard within two weeks!
If you haven't got any points there are lots of reasons why that might be, for example:
If you are not a Press Pack member, we can't add your points. Find out how to join
you might have entered your membership number or member name properly. If this happens, we will email you and let you know.
some people write a reports that are copied from other websites, and some people write made up stories about events that didn't actually happen. We can't give points to people who do this.
