Stick the bottom of the egg box to the bottom of the plastic bottle with tape. The egg box will make the head of your crazy creature and the bottle will make the body. Make sure your bottle has as wide a neck as possible.
Draw fins, fangs and a tail on stiff card. Cut these out and stick the fangs to the front of the egg box (forming your creature’s face) and the fins to the sides of the bottle. Unscrew the lid from the plastic bottle and stick the tail to the top of it.
Scrunch old newspaper into two balls. Cover the balls in masking tape to secure them and stick them onto the top side of the plastic bottle just behind the egg box – these will form the eyes of your crazy creature.
Using PVA glue, stick small strips of newspaper all over your creature’s body, tail and front of its head (this enable you to paint your creature). Once the glue has dried, paint your creature in crazy colours and patterns. You can now put your pocket money inside its bottle body, screwing its tail back in place to keep your money safe.
Try using different shaped bottles to make a collection of crazy creatures.
