A ticket from a fun day out, a secret note from your BFF, a photo from your holiday. Whatever your favourite memories are collect them all on your own memory board.
You will need
A cork noticeboard
Decorations (stickers, card shapes - anything you want)
Your summer mementos
Collect all your bits and pieces together - including as many mementos as you can find. Tickets from cinema trips, concerts or fun day's out. Messages or drawings from your friends. Photos from your favourite holidays.
Decide what your big message is going to be. We have chosen BP STAR but you could choose your name or your favourite word.
Draw your letters on the coloured card, making sure they are thick enough for you to cut out later.
Gently bend your card in half and make a cut in the middle with your scissors, then cut the whole letter out - leaving you with the piece of card with the cut-out shape of your letter.
You may want to ask an adult to help you with this bit.
Make sure you save the centres of any letters - these will be needed later on.
TIP: Think about the size of your noticeboard when you draw your letters. They need to be big enough to fill your board, but not too big or they won't all fit on!
When you have cut out all of your letters, arrange them on the noticeboard, then fix them in place with the drawing pins.
Be careful not to pin your fingers as well as the letters - that hurts!
Fill the letters with your mementos to give a collage effect and place the inner bits of your letters on top.
Secure everything with the drawing pins.
Hang your memory board on your wall in your bedroom to remind yourself of all your most treasured moments.
